Our Story
It started with literacy classes in an urban village.
In 2011, in one of New Delhi's urban villages — communities where migrant families settle at the edges of the megacity — a small educational program began. It offered literacy training to women. Then came jewelry making, savings groups, and after-school tutoring for children.
What grew from that work is Khushbu: a socially responsible business built on the belief that every person is creative, capable, and worthy of the opportunity to prove it.

Today, Khushbu artisans are trained in true craft skills — block printing, leather work, hand-stitching — and paid better-than-fair wages in a safe environment.

The women who make Khushbu products came to New Delhi as part of India's vast migrant population — families seeking work, opportunity, a foothold. What they found at Khushbu was something more: a calling. The chance to develop a skill, to earn a real income, to be seen as the capable, creative people they have always been.
